I am pregnant!  I knew that I was supposed to wait until the 16th to take a home pregnancy test, but after feeling so awful on Friday the 13th, I finally gave in and took a test.  A very faint line showed up indicating that I was pregnant.  Before telling Chris, I decided to wait until the 16th and do the test again, just to be sure.  The 16th was also our 7th anniversary, so I enclosed the positive test in an anniversary card for him and waited for him to open it.  Much to my surprise (and disappointment) Amy came running down to the office asking if I was pregnant.  The dipstick had opened the card when Amy was in his office and when she asked Chris what the stick was, he told her.  She thought it was something for measuring temperatures.  Oh well.  I had wanted to wait a couple of months before telling her or anyone.  Even Chris had said that he wanted to wait until we were three months pregnant.

We don’t talk about it much but have strongly cautioned Amy that she is not to tell anyone.  I really don’t think she will on purpose, but more than likely the happy news will just slip out one day.  I had hoped to introduce the news to the girls in a positive happy way and now Amy must think that being pregnant is no fun, because you can’t tell anyone.

Becky announced on Monday that she and Kyle are expecting their third child in March.  I think our families are wondering and waiting for us to make such an announcement because they have started asking if and when we plan to have more children.
