We met Stan and Pam Braun up in Loveland around 11 am to go to the outlet mall there. Pam and I headed for the Carter’s store first of all and spent most of our time there. I purchased some shirts for Alicia and new jammies for Amy plus a new classier diaper bag. We decided to go for lunch after that, though it took awhile since I had to nurse Alicia and Pam then went to nurse Evan. After lunch, Chris wanted to go up to Fort Collins to look at some mattress stores and amazingly enough we ran in to Stan and Pam at a children’s store right next to the mattress store. Unfortunately Amy had a blow out diaper (she has had diarrhea since we got here) and Chris had to run to Walmart to get new diapers. Chris wanted to get a bed for Amy at the mattress store and made arrangements with Stan to pick it up the next day in his truck. It was a big imposition I am sure, but Stan was kind enough to help us out.
We are enjoying the company of some fellow BYU transplants. One couple has lived here for over a year now-Ken and Carli Siders-and are expecting a baby next month. The other two couples have moved here recently and both of them are expecting as well–January and March so they have a way to go. I am just grateful that I am no longer pregnant. It is not my favorite thing in the world. Chris also has a lot of friends whom he works with. We have done a few things with Stan and Pam and their son Evan. They are not LDS but are super nice people.
We arranged to have dinner with Ken and Carli at our house on Saturday evening. It was just after the BYU football game which was aired on ESPN. BYU tromped Tulane so well that ESPN stopped airing the game in the 4th quarter and showed Little League baseball playoffs. We decided to have a BBQ and just before we got started Mark DeBry called to ask if they could join us for a BBQ along with the other BYU couple--Shane and Rochelle Allred.
