I love this time of year in the morning. For the past couple of days the sun rise has been incredible, and we are fortunate to have such a good panoramic view of it. We are so blessed to live in this home.
Amy has had a lot of “firsts” so far this summer. She got her ears pierced at the end of May. Chris and I both felt that she had to earn getting them pierced so she spent a couple hours on different Saturdays helping in the yard. That is good motivation for her because she will actually do it. Amy also had her first sleepover at Lexi’s house a couple of nights ago. She got to go have pizza and watch a movie and she says that she stayed up “in to the 10 hour.” She had a great time, but with all that lack of sleep succumbed to the cold that Misha and Kristen had had-fortunately neither of them have been really sick.
Sadly, because of being sick, Amy missed going to Jamie and Jeremy’s for a fun, pre-4th festival last night with fireworks. I haven’t yet talked to Misha to see how much fun she had, but she didn’t get home until really late. Chris dropped her off at Jamie’s on his way to teach his University of Phoenix class and then picked Misha up on his way home. From the little I talked to Chris last night, he said Misha was the life of the party.
Kristen wasn’t too happy last night and even before Chris was home at 11:30, I had already been up with her three times. I think she is teething again and that always seems to take a lot out of her.
Misha’s 5th birthday is this Sunday. She gets to have a big party on Saturday and is pretty excited. She is having a spy/secret agent party with 6 or 7 friends coming, plus Amy. It should be fun. All of the kids that were invited were sent an invitation with the secret password and their secret agent name. They are getting excited about it as well.
