Susan had her baby yesterday at 1:13 pm.  Her water broke about 4 am and things just progressed nicely from there.  She was really worried that she would have to have a c-section.  Both Susan and Melissa Brooklyn are doing well.  Her due date of March 26th was obviously incorrect since Melissa weighed in at a wopping 8 lbs 14 ounces.  It has been quite a rough pregnancy for the past four or five months, so I know they are glad to have her here safely.

Misha’s phrase of the week is “no way”.  If you ask her if she wants gummy bears, or crackers, or a cookies, and she doesn’t, we hear “no way”.  Sometimes it is just a little more emphatic with “no, no, no way”.  Sadly, she is also learning to say it when she doesn’t want to do something.  Hmm, where did she pick that up?

We have all been sick over the past month.  Amy and I the most, but Chris and Misha had colds for a few days.  I finally took the girls to the doctor yesterday because I thought I had an ear infection.  Turns out that Amy was the sickest of us all with strep and an ear infection.  She hardly complained and looked fine.  She has been waking up in the middle of the night, but didn’t complain, she just didn’t want to go back to her bed.  In fact, she woke up in the night Sunday and Chris was taking care of her.  She kept saying, “It’s not my fault, It’s not my fault.”  Poor thing.

I had the nurse give her a penicillin shot and that was a sad moment for Amy.  All the way home she kept saying, “The doctor’s office is not fun.  I don’t like getting shots.”  Poor thing.  Probably won’t do that again to her since it was so traumatic for her.  I have had a sinus infection and feel so much better today with some antibiotics in my system.  I am just glad to be feeling better again.  In the past six weeks, I have been to church once.  I have been healthy for one week of the past month.  Not fun, especially when I got sick after getting better the first time.
