We have had record snow falls this past week.  It started on Monday night and didn’t stop snowing until late Wednesday.  Some places in the mountains have had up to 90 inches of snow.  Most of the state was home-bound for a couple of days, and in many places it was illegal to be out driving anyway.  We probably got 18 to 24 inches.  Chris took the girls out to play in the snow on Wednesday afternoon.  They, however, were more attracted to the huge puddle at the bottom of the driveway.  Misha sat in it twice and was pretty soaked when she finally had to come in–kicking and screaming.  Her arms were red to the elbows she was so cold.

We had record warmth the week before the snow, the girls were wearing shorts and t-shirts on Saturday.  My tulips were peaking out of the ground in the front flower bed, and I am not sure whether they will survive or not.

I have decided that Misha needs to be potty trained.  She likes to sit on the potty and be a big girl, but I really haven’t done much more than sit her on the potty with her diaper on.  I realized yesterday that if she is so anxious to sit on the potty, why discourage her?  So, I know that she has been trying to sit on the big potty all by herself when she walked into the living room yesterday with a funny look on her face.  She said, “potty” and I figured she wanted to sit on the potty again.  She turned around though and her whole backside was wet from falling in.
