I purchased some new paring knives a couple of weeks ago and was grateful because they were so sharp and slick. Now I am not so grateful but more careful. On Monday I was cutting an apple and nicked two of my fingers. Not too bad. Yesterday, I was slicing celery and missed the celery altogether and sliced my finger–right through the fingernail even. Sharp knives huh? I don’t think I will need to worry about stitches, though if the finger nail hadn’t been there, I probably would have sliced the whole tip off. My left hand looks a bit worse for the wear, but I’ll live.
We had our car in the shop for a couple of days this last week. We were having trouble starting it and thought maybe the fuel filter was clogged and needed to be changed. Unfortunately the ignition switch had to be replaced (a little more pricey than a filter). We found out also that there was an alarm system installed in the car. We never knew before and fortunately it never went off because we would have had no way of turning it off. Somehow while they were fixing the car, the alarm became activated and they couldn’t figure out why the car wouldn’t start since the new switch was already in. They unplugged the alarm for us and did not wire it back into the new switch.
You suck on plastic things until the whole front of your shirt is soaked with drool. I gave you a yellow tube of Carmex that you suck on all of the time. The red lid end goes into your mouth and the rest just hangs out. Drool often drips off the end of the tube. Daddy says it reminds him of one of those old Grandmas with a cigarette hanging from their lip as if they forget that it is there. We got a few pictures of you like this.
