A year ago this week, we packed up and moved to Colorado. We had the culture shock of a tiny little apartment plus completely new surroundings. With a 20-month old and 5-week old in tow, it was quite an experience. I am so glad that we are more settled this year. Tomorrow is our 5th anniversary. Amazing that time has gone by so quickly. And who would have imagined that we would have had two little ragamuffins in that time?
I decided on Tuesday that I was going to wean Alicia from bottles. Not too much involved there. I just stopped giving them to her and gave her sippy cups instead. She hasn’t seemed to mind too much. I think bottles were a little more calming for her before going to sleep, but I want to try and get her away from having to be rocked before going to sleep. She doesn’t fall asleep in my arms, but it is just quiet time that helps her wind down. I am grateful that she hasn’t become attached to nursing or bottles or pacifiers. She does have a white stuffed bear that she likes to cuddle with when she lays down though.
