Unseasonably warm
Amy is getting better from being sick for most of the week. It was weird how it came on though, we put her to bed around 8:30 and at 11:30 she was crying and had a fever of 102. Chris is the one who heard her crying and brought her into our room. I had the hardest time waking up but could tell that the little body next to me was so hot. We took off her pajamas to try and cool her off and she finally let Chris place a cold wash cloth on her forehead. She slept the rest of the night in our bed, but I use the word “slept” loosely as none of really slept well. Her fever finally broke after an hour or so, but by morning she was a pretty sick little girl.
For the next two nights we would put her in her bed to sleep and a couple of hours later she was crying. Finally, Chris slept in her bed on Thursday night to try and get a good sleep, and Amy slept in ours. I was running pretty much on empty, and even after a good night’s sleep last night I am still pretty tired. Course, it doesn’t help that Alicia was up before six and Amy not too long after that. As usual, Chris is still sleeping. He somehow seems to think that he “needs” to sleep in while I don’t because he gets up to go to work everyday. I don’t think he understands that I get up to work every day–I just don’t get a change of scenery, nor do I get to leave. Mommy’s work is 24/7.
Alicia’s bottom two front teeth are in. The first one broke through about Tuesday and I noticed the other one by Friday.
