Less than a week now if you were to actually come on your due date.  I am still at work and trying to get as much done as possible.  My department had a surprise lunch for me yesterday which was so thoughtful.  They gave you some very cute gifts.  We’ll have to take lots of pictures so that you can see all of the cute clothes that you now have.

I went to my doctor’s appointment on Monday and found out pretty much what I expected to hear.  No dilation yet, but my cervix has started to soften or efface.  That’s progress in my mind because it all has to happen.  I don’t really count on you coming early because I don’t feel much happening.  Every once in a while I feel twinges and cramping, but I think I have yet to experience a contraction.  You dropped further down into my pelvis about two weeks ago.  It is rather obvious, especially to those who haven’t seen me for awhile.

We put up your cradle over Thanksgiving as well as the Christmas Tree.  I think we are mostly ready for you.

Thanksgiving was pretty quiet for us.  On Thursday, we went over to Aunt Maureen’s for dinner.  Brad came as well.  We each provided a part of the dinner so it wasn’t so much work for one person.  After dinner I stayed at Maureen’s to rest and Chris, Brad, and Maureen went to the new James Bond movie, “The World is not Enough.”  Brad stayed at our house that night and went shopping with us on Friday.  We bought a La-Z-Boy recliner rocker at RC Willey in anticipation of your arrival.  It arrived on Saturday morning and our living room is rather crowded now with the new chair and the Christmas tree.  The chair is rather comfy for me, but I don’t like to sit on it right now in fear of my water breaking all over it.
